Parameters

reinforcement Reinforcement

The reinforcement: a single bar, any kind of group, a mesh or a strand.

tolerance Tolerance

The tolerance; Tekla coordinates run large, so this is worth giving.

Returns

GeoPolylineArc3[]

One bar for each geometry the reinforcement holds; a group gives one for every bar in it.

Remarks

A geometry that cannot be read as a bar is passed over rather than stopping the rest, and the number passed over is reported through GeometryHelperLog, because a group of forty bars with one bad geometry is more useful than an exception.

Thrown when reinforcement is null.

InvalidOperationException

Thrown when Tekla Structures is not running, which it must be for this to be asked at all.

Returns

List<GeoPolylineArc3[]>

One entry for each reinforcement given, in the same order, holding that one's bars. A null in the sequence gives an empty entry, so an answer always lines up with what was asked about.

Remarks

The grouping is kept rather than run together, because it cannot be got back: which bar came from which reinforcement is gone the moment they are all in one list. Running them together is a SelectMany away for anyone who wants that.

Worth using over a loop of single calls rather than only shorter to write: where a Tekla build needs the work plane turned to global first, this turns it once for the whole lot and puts it back once, instead of once per reinforcement.

Remarks

A RebarSet is not a Reinforcement — it holds them, along with its modifiers and its leg faces — so it is asked for the reinforcements it made and each of those is read as usual.
