TrySubtract(GeoSolid3, out GeoSolid3)

Takes another solid out of this one, using the default tolerance.

public bool TrySubtract(GeoSolid3 tool, out GeoSolid3 result)

Parameters

tool GeoSolid3
result GeoSolid3

Returns

bool

TrySubtract(GeoSolid3, out GeoSolid3, Tolerance)

Takes another solid out of this one, within a tolerance.

public bool TrySubtract(GeoSolid3 tool, out GeoSolid3 result, Tolerance tolerance)

Parameters

tool GeoSolid3
result GeoSolid3
tolerance Tolerance

Returns

bool

TrySubtract(GeoObb3, out GeoSolid3)

Takes a box out of this body.

public bool TrySubtract(GeoObb3 tool, out GeoSolid3 result)

Parameters

tool GeoObb3
result GeoSolid3

Returns

bool

Remarks

A box is read as the body it bounds, which is exact: six flat faces, no fitting and no approximation. The answer is a GeoSolid3 because a boolean of two boxes is hardly ever a box.

TrySubtract(GeoObb3, out GeoSolid3, Tolerance)

Takes a box out of this body, within a tolerance.

public bool TrySubtract(GeoObb3 tool, out GeoSolid3 result, Tolerance tolerance)

Parameters

tool GeoObb3

The box.

result GeoSolid3

The body the two make, or nothing where they make none.

tolerance Tolerance

The tolerance.

Returns

bool

true when the two made a body; otherwise, false.

Exceptions

ArgumentNullException

Thrown when the box is null.
