Method TriangulateSurface

Namespace
GeometryHelper.Geometry
Assembly
GeometryHelper.dll

TriangulateSurface()

Meshes the surface of the material, with every opening cut in first.

public GeoTriangle3[] TriangulateSurface()

Returns

GeoTriangle3[]

TriangulateSurface(Tolerance)

Meshes the surface of the material, with every opening cut in first, within a tolerance.

public GeoTriangle3[] TriangulateSurface(Tolerance tolerance)

Parameters

tolerance Tolerance

The tolerance.

Returns

GeoTriangle3[]

The triangles of the material's boundary: the outer faces with the parts over each opening taken away, and the walls of each opening where they run through the body. Empty when the openings take all of the material.

Remarks

This is the mesh to read as where the material ends, as TriangulateSurface() is for a face. For a body without openings it is Triangulate(Tolerance); with them, it costs cutting the openings in, so a body asked many questions is better cut once with TryCutOpenings(out GeoSolid3, Tolerance) and the result kept.
