Revolve(GeoPolygon2, GeoCoordinateSystem3, double, double)

Makes the body a profile sweeps out turned round an axis, using the default tolerance.

public static GeoSolid3 Revolve(GeoPolygon2 profile, GeoCoordinateSystem3 placement, double angleRad, double chordTolerance)

Parameters

profile GeoPolygon2
placement GeoCoordinateSystem3
angleRad double
chordTolerance double

Returns

GeoSolid3

Revolve(GeoPolygon2, GeoCoordinateSystem3, double, double, Tolerance)

Makes the body a profile sweeps out turned round an axis: a ring, a boss, a round pier.

public static GeoSolid3 Revolve(GeoPolygon2 profile, GeoCoordinateSystem3 placement, double angleRad, double chordTolerance, Tolerance tolerance)

Parameters

profile GeoPolygon2

The profile, drawn in the XY plane of the placement with X the distance from the axis, nought or more, and Y the height along it.

placement GeoCoordinateSystem3

The axis is its Y axis, through its origin.

angleRad double

How far the profile turns, positively about Y; a whole turn is two pi and leaves no ends.

chordTolerance double

The largest gap allowed between a facet and the true surface; nought picks one from the radius.

tolerance Tolerance

The tolerance.

Returns

GeoSolid3

The body, wound outwards.

Exceptions

ArgumentNullException

Thrown when the profile is null.

ArgumentOutOfRangeException

Thrown when the angle is not above nought or is more than a whole turn.

ArgumentException

Thrown when the profile reaches across the axis or lies along it.
