TrySplitAtDistance(double, out GeoPolylineArc3[])

Cuts the chain at a distance measured along it.

public bool TrySplitAtDistance(double distance, out GeoPolylineArc3[] pieces)

Parameters

distance double

How far along to cut, measured along the arcs rather than across the chords.

pieces GeoPolylineArc3[]

The two pieces when the cut was made.

Returns

bool

true when the chain came apart; otherwise, false.

TrySplitAtDistance(double, out GeoPolylineArc3[], Tolerance)

Cuts the chain at a distance measured along it, within a tolerance.

public bool TrySplitAtDistance(double distance, out GeoPolylineArc3[] pieces, Tolerance tolerance)

Parameters

distance double

How far along to cut, measured along the arcs rather than across the chords.

pieces GeoPolylineArc3[]

The two pieces when the cut was made.

tolerance Tolerance

The tolerance.

Returns

bool

true when the chain came apart; otherwise, false.

TrySplitAtDistance(double, out GeoPolylineArc3, out GeoPolylineArc3)

Splits the chain at an arc length from its start into the piece before and the piece after, using the default tolerance.

public bool TrySplitAtDistance(double distance, out GeoPolylineArc3 first, out GeoPolylineArc3 second)

Parameters

distance double
first GeoPolylineArc3
second GeoPolylineArc3

Returns

bool

TrySplitAtDistance(double, out GeoPolylineArc3, out GeoPolylineArc3, Tolerance)

Splits the chain at an arc length from its start into the piece before and the piece after, within a tolerance.

public bool TrySplitAtDistance(double distance, out GeoPolylineArc3 first, out GeoPolylineArc3 second, Tolerance tolerance)

Parameters

distance double

How far along the chain to cut.

first GeoPolylineArc3

The piece holding the start; null when the method returns false.

second GeoPolylineArc3

The piece holding the end; null when the method returns false.

tolerance Tolerance

The tolerance.

Returns

bool

true when the chain was cut in two; false when the distance falls at or beyond an end.
