Gets the curve parallel to this chain at a distance to its left within its plane.

Remarks

The chain has to lie in one plane, and that plane is taken from its arcs rather than from its vertices, because any three vertices are flat. An arc comes back as an arc with its radius moved by the distance, so a bar set out at one cover can be moved to another without being straightened.
