GetParameterAtPoint(GeoPoint3)

Gets the normalized parameter of the point of the arc nearest a point, using the default tolerance.

Gets the normalized parameter of the point of the arc nearest a point, within a tolerance.

public double GetParameterAtPoint(GeoPoint3 point, Tolerance tolerance)

Parameters

point GeoPoint3

The point; it does not have to lie on the arc or even in its plane.

tolerance Tolerance

The tolerance.

Returns

double

The parameter, from 0 at the start of the arc to 1 at its end, clamped to that range.

Remarks

A point off the plane is answered by what stands under it: only the direction from the centre within the plane decides where along the arc it falls.
