GetParameterAtPoint(GeoPoint2)

Gets the normalized parameter of the point of the arc nearest a point, using the default tolerance.

public double GetParameterAtPoint(GeoPoint2 point)

Parameters

point GeoPoint2

The point; it does not have to lie on the arc.

Returns

double

The parameter, from 0 at the start of the arc to 1 at its end, clamped to that range.

GetParameterAtPoint(GeoPoint2, Tolerance)

Gets the normalized parameter of the point of the arc nearest a point, within a tolerance.

public double GetParameterAtPoint(GeoPoint2 point, Tolerance tolerance)

Parameters

point GeoPoint2

The point; it does not have to lie on the arc.

tolerance Tolerance

The tolerance: a point at the centre has no direction and gives the start.

Returns

double

The parameter, from 0 at the start of the arc to 1 at its end, clamped to that range.

Remarks

A point off the ends of the arc is answered with whichever end is nearer it, so the parameter never runs outside the arc.
