Method ToAcadArc

Namespace
GeometryHelper.CadConvert
Assembly
GeometryHelper.CadConvert.dll

ToAcadArc(GeoArc2)

Converts a GeometryHelper 2D arc to an AutoCAD Arc in the XY plane.

public static Arc ToAcadArc(this GeoArc2 geoArc)

Parameters

geoArc GeoArc2

The GeometryHelper 2D arc to convert.

Returns

Arc

The converted AutoCAD Autodesk.AutoCAD.DatabaseServices.Arc, drawing the same curve.

Remarks

An AutoCAD arc sweeps counter-clockwise about its normal and has nowhere else to put a direction, so a clockwise arc is written with its two angles exchanged. It draws the same curve, and reading it back gives the counter-clockwise arc through the same points.

Exceptions

ArgumentNullException

Thrown when geoArc is null.

ToAcadArc(IEnumerable<GeoArc2>)

Converts a sequence of GeometryHelper 2D arcs to a list of AutoCAD Arcs.

public static List<Arc> ToAcadArc(this IEnumerable<GeoArc2> arcs)

Parameters

arcs IEnumerable<GeoArc2>

The sequence of GeometryHelper 2D arcs to convert.

Returns

List<Arc>

A list of converted AutoCAD Autodesk.AutoCAD.DatabaseServices.Arc.

ToAcadArc(GeoArc3)

Converts a GeometryHelper 3D arc to an AutoCAD Arc in its own plane.

public static Arc ToAcadArc(this GeoArc3 geoArc)

Parameters

geoArc GeoArc3

The GeometryHelper 3D arc to convert.

Returns

Arc

The converted AutoCAD Autodesk.AutoCAD.DatabaseServices.Arc, drawing the same curve.

Remarks

The arc is written through three of its own points rather than through its angles, because AutoCAD measures them from an axis of its own choosing rather than from the one GetAxes(out GeoVector3, out GeoVector3) gives.

ToAcadArc(IEnumerable<GeoArc3>)

Converts a sequence of GeometryHelper 3D arcs to a list of AutoCAD Arcs.

public static List<Arc> ToAcadArc(this IEnumerable<GeoArc3> arcs)

Parameters

arcs IEnumerable<GeoArc3>

The sequence of GeometryHelper 3D arcs to convert.

Returns

List<Arc>

A list of converted AutoCAD Autodesk.AutoCAD.DatabaseServices.Arc.
